The Dimplex IgniteXL® 50-inch linear electric fireplace (XLF50) delivers a clean, edge-to-edge glass presentation with vivid LED flames and a mirrored glass backer that deepens the look.
Sizes, clearances, heat output and venting come from the showroom, not a spec table—they depend on your wall, and the wrong number here would cost you a trip.

Questions on This Model
What to Ask about this one
We don't print sizes and output here on purpose—they depend on your wall, and a wrong number costs you a trip. These are the questions that get you a straight answer in about a minute at the counter.
Can I run the Ignite XL 50" Linear Electric Fireplace on a red air day?
Yes. Utah's mandatory action days restrict solid-fuel burning, not electric units, so this one runs on any air quality day.
Does Utah require anything special to install the Ignite XL 50" Linear Electric Fireplace?
Electric is the simplest install in the catalogue—no gas line, no venting, no combustion permit. You may still need an electrician for a dedicated circuit depending on the unit and the room, and your shop will tell you which.
Insert or zero-clearance—which am I buying?
Simple test: an insert slides into a masonry fireplace you already have; a zero-clearance unit gets framed into a wall. This one installs as a Zero Clearance unit, so neither rule quite applies—your shop will walk the placement with you.
Will it work when the power goes out?
No—electric units need the grid. If outage heat matters, gas or wood is the honest answer and any shop here will tell you so.
What should I bring to the showroom?
Photos of the wall or firebox, and four measurements if you already have a fireplace: front width, front height, back width, and depth. A masonry firebox tapers, so the back is usually narrower than the front—those four numbers decide which units even fit.
