Who this is

A Network of Shops, Not a Chain

Utah Fireplace Pros is a group of independent, family-owned fireplace shops covering the state. Every one has a showroom you can walk into, and every one installs its own work.

Why this exists

The Shops That Stay

Buying a fireplace goes wrong in a predictable way. Someone sells you a unit, a sub you've never met installs it, and next winter when the pilot won't hold, nobody owns the problem. Everyone in this trade has watched it happen.

Every shop in this network installs its own work. That's the entry requirement, and it's the whole point—the people who sell you the fireplace are the people who fit it and the people who answer the phone about it later. It's a smaller claim than most marketing makes and a much harder one to fake.

They're also all family owned, all with a brick-and-mortar showroom, and all a total fire solution—the hearth inside and the fire outside. Between them they cover nearly every populated corner of Utah, from Cache Valley down to St. George.

This site doesn't sell you anything and doesn't charge you anything. It exists to get you to the right shop with your questions already half answered.

The range we cover

St. George2,536ft Park City6,936ft

2,536 feet of red rock to 6,936 feet of snow. Those are two different heating problems, so this site starts with where you live.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell fireplaces. The shops do.
  • We don't take a fee from you. Ever.
  • We don't run a call center. There's no 800 number here on purpose.
  • We don't carry pellet, and we'd rather explain why than pretend otherwise.

What every shop has in common

The Three Things That Get You In

They install their own work

Own crews. Sales, installation, and service under one roof and one name.

Family owned

Neighborhood businesses with a name on the door and a reputation they can't hide from.

A real showroom

Brick and mortar, with the units burning, because nothing on a screen replaces standing in front of a fire.

Indoor and out

A total fire solution—the hearth inside and the fire pit, grill, and kitchen outside.

About This Site

Do you charge homeowners anything?

No. Not a fee, not a subscription, not a lead charge passed back to you. The shops are the ones who benefit from a well-informed customer walking in, which is the whole arrangement.

How do you decide which shop I get?

By zip code. Territory in Utah runs by zip rather than city line, especially through Salt Lake County where a dozen cities share a boundary. You get one shop—the one that covers your street—rather than a pile of competing bids.

Are these shops all the same?

No, and that's the point of the profiles. They're independent businesses with different lines, different specialties, and different personalities. What they share is the three things above.

Why don't you carry pellet?

Because in Utah it rarely pencils out. Gas is inexpensive and available almost everywhere, bagged pellets aren't easy to get across much of the state, and a pellet stove stops working the moment the power does—which is exactly when a cabin needs heat. For those homes these shops point you at wood instead.
